NOTICE OF IMPOSITION OF IMPACT FEE RATES - INCREASE TO BE IMPOSED JANUARY 1, 2024.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Board of Fire Commissioners of the Englewood Area Fire Control District have determined it is necessary to continue to fund capital improvements and additions to the Fire District necessitated by future growth.

Therefore, the Fire District shall impose an increase to the Fire Impact Fee rates upon all new construction commenced within the boundaries of the Fire District and said Impact Fee shall be collected prior to issuance of a building permit for such construction. At a duly held and properly noticed meeting on November 15, 2023, by the Board of Commissioners District adopted Resolution IF2023-1420 establishing the following Impact Fee rate schedule:

Fire Service Impact fees are charges assessed for the impact that is created by new development to the Englewood District.

2024 Impact Fee Schedule

(1) Single Family Residential Property - $359.43
Duplex - $718.86
Triplex - $1078.29
Commercial Building - (Total Square Feet of Commercial Building) x $1.00(per sq. ft.) = Total Impact Fee

*Commercial Building - Must supply copy of Floor Plans / Survey of property

Mobile Home Park - (Number of Mobile Home Spaces) x $359.43 = Total Impact Fee

Charlotte County Property Appraiser - Charlotte County properties are paid to the Charlotte County permitting office
Sarasota County Property Appraiser - Sarasota County properties are paid at EFD office

Fire Service Impact Fee Form - SARASOTA COUNTY PROPERTIES ONLY

Download the Fire Service Impact Fee Form. Please complete and submit along with a check made payable to: Englewood Fire District. The form and payment can be submitted in person and/or mailed to the Administrative Office at 516 Paul Morris Drive, Englewood, FL 34223.
If mailing in your form, please include your email address and the receipt can be sent electronically.

NOTICE - There is a $25 fee for any corrections, property transfers and/or refunds. There is a $35 fee for returned checks for insufficient funds. No exceptions will be made.
