Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
The District reminds residents that many products found in our homes are potentially hazardous substances. They can poison, corrode, explode, or ignite when stored or handled improperly. When indiscriminately discarded along with household trash these substances can threaten human and environmental health. For proper disposal of household hazardous waste, Sarasota County and Charlotte County has established a special waste disposal locations that gives local residents and small businesses an environmentally sound alternative. All communities within the Englewood Area Fire Control District service area are eligible to use these facilities.
